6 TIPS FOR GLOWING SKIN

6 TIPS FOR GLOWING SKIN

It's true what they say: "Glowing skin is always in." But as much as we might want to have totally radiant skin, sometimes it can be hard to; 1. Achieve it and 2. keep it. For most of us taking time out of our hectic days is hard, so these simple tips are here to help.

1. STAY HYDRATED
It is pretty crazy how many benefits there are in staying hydrated. Water helps to wash away toxins, transports nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells. We recommend having a drink bottle in your car, handbag, at your work station at work and beside your bed making sure you change the water everyday. There is nothing more important than drinking water, and plenty of it.

Green or herbal teas are also a great way to add some more antioxidants.

2. EXFOLIATE - I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH
We often forget how important it is to brush off those dead cells in winter. Yep, moisture can’t get in if the dead cells are sitting on top of your skin. It is important to remove dead skin cells in order to get rid of any dullness.

YOU COULD TRY; A chemical based glycolic acid wash or peel. Peels can help renew the skin cells, fixing dry skin or enlarged pores and promote brighter skin.

3.HEALTHY DIET

Eating a healthy, balanced diet is important for having glowing skin. Especially make sure to incorporate foods that have omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. These groups will help respectively keep skin supple and smooth, and fight free radical damage.

4. EXERCISE

The post-workout glow is a real thing! Proper exercise helps improve circulation which means more oxygen and nutrients are pumped to skin cells. And healthier skin cells means better-looking skin. Try to schedule your workout for the morning so you have all day to show off your resulting glow.

5. WASH YOUR FACE WITH LUKEWARM WATER
There is nothing better than a steaming hot shower in winter, but when you can, particularly when you are just washing your face or hands, chose lukewarm water to avoid stripping away all the natural oils from your skin.

6. GET ENOUGH SLEEP

Lastly, lack of sleep is certainly something that can make skin appear sallow and dull. To help skin hold on to its natural glow, make sure to get at least seven hours of sleep each night.

Small changes to your day to day routine can be just the trick.
